CHANGES IN JANUARY 2010 ISSUE

CHANGES TO STATISTICS PRESENTED ON AN ANZSIC 2006 BASIS

From the January 2010 issue, there will be changes to the availability of industry classification of statistics. Data will no longer be updated on an ANZSIC 1993 basis.

The changes will affect data available by subscription or on an ad hoc basis:

all data for June 2005 and earlier will only be available in accordance with ANZSIC93
data from July 2005 to June 2009 will be available in accordance with both ANZSIC93 and ANZSIC06
from July 2009 industry statistics will only be available on an ANZSIC06 basis. Data currently available on an ANZSIC93 basis from July 2009 to December 2009 will no longer be available.

For further details about the introduction of ANZSIC06 and information on concordances, refer to the Information paper: Changes to International Trade in Goods Industry Statistics, July 2009 (cat. no. 5368.0.55.011).

These changes to presentation will not change the statistics presented on a Balance of Payments basis nor result in revisions to the total value of goods and services credits and debits.
