26 March 2010 - Selected international accounts ratios - table 35

As advised in the December quarter 2009 issue of this publication, a mock-up table 35 will be released on 26 March 2010. This can be accessed via the ABS web site <www.abs.gov.au> of the December quarter 2009 issue of this publication.

The major changes proposed are:

  1. Net International Investment Position, Net foreign equity and Net foreign debt will be available as ratios to Gross National Income (GNI) in addition to Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
  2. Current account data used in calculating the ratios will no longer be a moving average of the last four quarters, but will use single quarter data.

The changes will be implemented with the March quarter 2010 issue.
