The lesson plan package pulls together basic economic concepts and describes how key economic indicators are used to measure the economy. Students and teachers of economics gain access to current and relevant data making economics topical and relevant to the reality of present day Australia.

The lesson plans complement the popular, long-running ABS economic statistics text Measuring Australia's Economy.
