(b) Calculated using preliminary deaths on registration basis and preliminary estimated resident population (ERP) based on the 2006 Census.
(c) Calculated using preliminary infant deaths and preliminary births both on registration basis.
(d) Tasmanian infant mortality rates are based on relatively small numbers so caution is advised when comparing with the Australian rate.
