Results from the 2005-06 Survey of Income and Housing were released in August, providing estimates of the income, net worth and other characteristics of households and persons living in private dwellings in Australia.
Key results from the 2005-06 survey are:

(a) Households in collection districts defined as very remote were excluded, accounting for about 24% of the population in the NT.
