NAME OF COLLECTION
On a yearly basis mineral production statistics are collected from all (approximately 1,600) mineral producers in Queensland. Forms are mailed to all mineral producers in Queensland and returned by either mail or facsimile.
Method of collection
On a monthly basis coal industry statistics are collected from all (43) coal mines in Queensland. A coal mining return is used to collect the data, and a supply of these is retained by the coal mines. Upon completion these forms are either mailed, faxed or emailed to the Resource Development Division of the Department of Mines and Energy (Queensland).
