DESCRIPTION

Education and Training Indicators, Australia, 2002 (cat. no. 4230.0) is a new publication providing summary statistics and commentary, using national level data from a wide range of both ABS and non-ABS sources. It includes 38 two-page topics, which have been grouped together using the framework for education and training statistics:

  • providers of education and training;
  • human and financial resources;
  • participation in education and training;
  • outputs and outcomes; and
  • the context in which education and training takes place.

This publication replaces Education and Training in Australia, 1998 (cat. no. 4224.0) which was released in 1999. Previous editions were released in 1996 and 1992. General topics in the 1999 publication included:
  • Education attainment;
  • Labour market outcomes;
  • Participation in education and training;
  • Providers of education and training;
  • Human resources; and
  • Finance.
