The publication contains information on overweight and obesity in adult Australians. Using body mass index (BMI) from the ABS National Health Surveys (1989, 1995, 2001 and 2004-05), overweight and obesity trends over time, risk factors and coexisting chronic diseases are examined. Also included are recent health related actions taken by overweight and obese people.
