Purpose
The survey seeks to identify the level of private sector investment in Australia's infrastructure.

Description
The survey was conducted in the December 1999 quarter of the 85 members of the Australian Council for Infrastructure Development (AusCID), which represents the majority of businesses associated with public infrastructure in Australia. Data was collected at the project level.

The survey identifies private investment in infrastructure in the energy, water, transportation and social infrastructure sectors. It also identifies the size of this investment (in dollars) and the direct employment generated.
