Agriculture and fisheries contribute 5.1% to the Northern Territory's total exports, from a diverse range of activities such as live cattle exports, field crops, fruit and vegetables and seafood. The agricultural, forestry and fishing sectors employed 2% of the Northern Territory's labour force in 2006.
The majority of the cattle exported from the Northern Territory are exported to Indonesia (85.7%), followed by Philippines (6.2%) and Brunei (3.3%).
