About this Release
The multinomial logistic regression model can be used to motivate an alternative to the generalised linear regression estimator (GREG). This is the logistic generalised regression estimator (LGREG). It can be used to estimate totals of detailed expense items from the sample selected for the I-O Survey. The design-based paradigm has been adopted throughout. The multinomial regression model has been used as a device to motivate estimating equations for finite population parameters which are used in the construction of estimates.
