    The financial account at 31 December 2021 recorded a deficit of $66.0b, following a deficit of $48.3b recorded at the end of 2020.

    Changes in this issue

    Change to country groups

    Costa Rica became a member of OECD on 25 May 2021. The 2021 OECD figures in the data downloads include Costa Rica in their total, while previous years do not.

    Revisions

    Revisions include incorporation of new estimates from the latest survey and administrative data which has resulted in revisions to International Investment data back to calendar year 2017.
