Gifts and benefits register

Following advice issued by the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) in October 2019, the ABS publishes a register of all gifts or benefits accepted by their Senior Executive Staff with a value greater than AUD$100.00 (excluding GST). This register is updated quarterly.

The ABS Gifts and Benefits Policy advises that officials must not accept gifts or benefits in the course of their work duties which might reasonably be seen to compromise their integrity. Officials are required to report the acceptance of any gift or benefit within 28 days, through an internal gifts and benefits register. The relevant Delegate within the ABS has oversight and reviews all reported gifts and benefits.
