Datacubes within the 2017, 2018 and 2019 publications of the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) Volume 3 - Non ABS Structures have been updated to resolve known issues. The 2017, 2018 and 2019 QLD Local Government Areas (LGA) Census TableBuilder recode data cubes have been updated to resolve the error of the Lockhart River LGA being split across both Part One and Part Two QLD recode files. The 2018 NSW usual residence State Electoral Divisions (SED) Census TableBuilder recode data cube has been updated to resolve an error preventing the NSW 'no usual address' category from being viewable. |

| Census of Population and Housing Basic Confidentialised Unit Record File (CURF) |
Adjustments have been made to the Census of Population and Housing 1% Basic CURF to address a category coding error. The affected variables were Country of birth of person (BPLP) and Country of birth of father (BPMP). The codes for categories 2 to 9 under these variables were incorrectly labelled and have now been updated to their correct codes. |

The 2016 publication of the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) included incorrect boundaries for 43 of the 59 Western Australia State Electoral Divisions (WA SEDs).
This was the result of a process error related to the redistribution of WA SEDs for the 2017 state election, and resulted in 2016 Census data being aggregated to the incorrect boundaries. No other states or territory electoral division boundaries are affected and all other geographic structures in the ASGS are correct.
The ASGS and 2016 Census data in QuickStats for the WA SEDs will be updated in May. Users seeking to extract data to the correct boundaries for the WA SEDs can use Census TableBuilder with a geographic recode and follow these instructions on working with custom groups. |

| The place of work data for the 2016 Census |
The place of work data for the 2016 Census has been temporarily removed from the ABS website so an issue can be corrected. There was a discrepancy in the process used to transform detailed workplace location information into data suitable for output. Due to the highly specialised nature of this process, the ABS did not pick up on the issue until after the release of the data. We are working to correct this as quickly as possible and will release the updated information in TableBuilder in early December. The Working Population Profiles will be updated later in December. |

This updated 2016 Time Series Profile uses an approximate population based geographic allocation of 2006 Collector Districts to 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard output areas. This is consistent with the approach used for the 2011 Time Series Profile. A previous release of the 2016 Time Series Profile used an approximate area based allocation. Both approaches are statistically valid but result in marginally different population counts. |
