(a) The ABS advises the seasonally adjusted number of new motor vehicle sales in Tasmania should not be used in reporting. The small numbers and volatile nature of these data in recent months make reliable estimation of the seasonal pattern very difficult. The seasonally adjusted figures for Australia and other states/territories remain unaffected.

This publication draws on new motor vehicle sales data provided by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI).
