ROBBERY

During the 12 months prior to interview, an estimated 114,600 incidents of robbery were experienced by Australians aged 15 years and over. Property was stolen in less than half (45%) of the most recent incidents of robbery.

New South Wales experienced a significant decrease in the victimisation rate of robbery from 0.6% in 2008-09 to 0.3% in 2009-10.
