CULTURAL TRADE BY COUNTRY

During 2008-09, a large percentage (43%) of Australia's cultural exports went to New Zealand ($251.4m), with significant quantities also going to the United States of America ($86.1m) and the United Kingdom ($46.1m).

Australia imported $885.9m of cultural goods from China in 2008-09, with the bulk of this (68%) comprising Radio and television receivers and apparatus for sound or video recording or reproduction. Imports from Malaysia totalled $584.7m, while imports from the United States of America totalled $478.7m and from the United Kingdom totalled $444.9m.
