In 2008-09, Australia exported $259.7m of Books, magazines, newspapers and other printed matter. This was 44% of Australia's total value of exports of cultural goods ($585.1m).

The largest cultural product group imported in 2008-09 was Radio and television receivers and apparatus for sound or video recording or reproduction which accounted for 48% ($1,526.7m) of cultural goods imported by Australia.
