SUMMARY COMMENTS

  • In the September quarter 2008, the seasonally adjusted estimate of the value of total building work done fell in states and territories other than Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory. The largest falls were in South Australia (-4.6%) and Victoria (-3.4%).
  • The original estimate of total building work done rose in all states and territories other than New South Wales and South Australia. The largest rises were in the Australian Capital Territory (+11.6%) and Queensland (+3.4%).
