Main Features Value of Building Approved Dwellings Approved Dwelling units approved,States and territories Dwelling Units Approved Data Cubes About this Release	DWELLINGS APPROVED TOTAL DWELLING UNITS The trend estimate for the total number of dwelling units approved in January fell 4.3% and has fallen for 14 months. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate fell 3.7% to 9,312 dwellings, the lowest estimate since February 2001. PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for the number of private sector house approvals fell 2.0% and has fallen for 14 months. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 1.1% to 7,042 houses, the first rise since April 2008. PRIVATE SECTOR OTHER DWELLINGS The trend estimate for the number of private sector other dwellings approved fell 11.0% and has fallen for eight months.
