DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales rose 1.5% in December and has risen for 11 months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 0.8% in December and has risen for ten months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria fell 1.0% in December and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 2.8% in December and has fallen for five months. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 0.4% in December and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 2.5% in December and has fallen for six months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia rose 1.4% in December and has risen for six months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses rose 1.9% in December and has risen for seven months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia was flat in December after rising for seven months.
