BUILDING APPROVALS AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.1% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 7.8% to 13,388 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 0.7% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 1.2% to 7,484 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses fell 0.7% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 17.9% to 5,772 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved rose 1.2% in September and has risen for 9 months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 2.0% in September and has risen for 5 months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved fell 6.3% in September and has fallen for 4 months.
