Main Features Building Approvals,Australia Dwelling Units Approved, State Trends About this Release History of Changes Dwelling approvals rise in September (Media Release)	BUILDING APPROVALS AUSTRALIA NUMBER OF TOTAL DWELLING UNITS The trend estimate for Australia rose 0.1% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 7.8% to 13,388 dwellings. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 0.7% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 1.2% to 7,484 houses. NUMBER OF PRIVATE SECTOR DWELLINGS EXCLUDING HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector dwelling units excluding houses fell 0.7% in September. In seasonally adjusted terms the estimate rose 17.9% to 5,772 dwellings. VALUE OF NEW RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of new residential building approved rose 1.2% in September and has risen for 9 months. VALUE OF ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of alterations and additions to residential building rose 2.0% in September and has risen for 5 months. VALUE OF NON-RESIDENTIAL BUILDING The trend estimate for the value of non-residential building approved fell 6.3% in September and has fallen for 4 months.
