The seasonally adjusted estimate for total dwelling units approved rose 2.2%, to 14,869, and has risen for two months. PRIVATE SECTOR HOUSES The trend estimate for private sector houses approved rose 1.1% in December and has risen for 12 months. The seasonally adjusted estimate for private sector houses approved rose 3.1%, to 9,682 houses following a fall last month. PRIVATE SECTOR OTHER DWELLINGS The trend estimate for private sector other dwellings approved rose 5.2% in December and has risen for six months. The seasonally adjusted estimate for private sector other dwellings approved rose 9.1%, to 3,919 dwellings and has risen for two months.
