In current prices, the trend estimate for Australian turnover rose 0.3% in November 2019, following a rise of 0.3% in October 2019, and a rise of 0.3% in September 2019.

The seasonally adjusted estimate for Australian turnover rose 0.9% in November 2019, following a rise of 0.1% in October 2019, and a rise of 0.2% in September 2019.

The original estimate for Australian turnover rose 4.9% in November 2019. The original estimate for chains and other larger retailers rose 6.2% in November 2019. The original estimate for smaller retailers rose 1.9% in November 2019.

TOTAL RETAIL - BY STATE

The following states and territories rose in trend terms in November 2019: Queensland (0.5%), New South Wales (0.3%), Western Australia (0.4%), Victoria (0.1%), Tasmania (0.8%), South Australia (0.2%), the Australian Capital Territory (0.5%), and the Northern Territory (0.5%).

The following states and territories rose in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2019: Victoria (1.1%), Queensland (1.2%), New South Wales (0.7%), South Australia (1.4%), Western Australia (0.5%), the Australian Capital Territory (0.7%), and Tasmania (0.4%). The Northern Territory (-0.2%) fell in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2019.
