The chart below shows the trend series and seasonally adjusted series to November 2009.

In current price trend terms, Australian turnover increased by 0.4% in November 2009 following increases of 0.4% in both October 2009 and September 2009.

All industries have all had an increase in the trend for at least eleven months except for Other Retailing (-0.2%) which decreased for the fourth consecutive month in November 2009.

All states have had an increase in the trend estimate for at least five months. NSW (0.7%) had the largest increase in November and has had the strongest growth across the states for five consecutive months.

In current price seasonally adjusted terms, Australian turnover increased by 1.4% in November 2009 following an increase of 0.4% in October 2009. Turnover remained unchanged in seasonally adjusted terms in September 2009.

In current price original terms, chains and other large retailers increased 4.4% in November 2009. The estimate for smaller retailers decreased 0.2 % in November 2009.
