Graph: proportion of businesses with internet access, by employment size, 2011-12 to 2013-14. The likelihood of a business having access to the internet was greater for each successive employment size range.

Internet access was reported by 95% of businesses as at 30 June 2014. Consistent with previous years results, the likelihood of a business having access to the internet was greater for each successive employment size range, from 93% of businesses with 0-4 persons employed to almost all businesses with 200 or more persons employed.

All but two of the 17 selected industries recorded internet access of over 90%. The Accommodation and food services (85%) and the Agriculture, forestry and fishing (87%) industries had the lowest proportion of businesses with internet access, compared with the Financial and insurance services industry which had the highest proportion.
