NUMBER OF INNOVATIONS INTRODUCED
In 2014-15 new content was introduced which asked innovating businesses to estimate the number of each type of innovation they had introduced during the year ended 30 June 2015. When referring to new or significantly improved goods, services, processes or methods, there was no criteria which stipulated these innovations needed to be successful.
Across all four types of innovation, businesses most commonly reported introducing 1 to 2 new goods, services, processes or methods. For example, of those businesses reporting new goods and/or services, 66% introduced 1 to 2 new goods and/or services during the year ended 30 June 2015, while only 7% introduced 10 or more new goods and/or services.

Across the employment size ranges and types of innovation, innovating businesses with 0-4 persons employed had the highest proportion of businesses that introduced
1 to 2 innovations.
