KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for December 2018:
  • After a 3.4% increase last quarter, the gross value of cattle and calves decreased 5.0% to $2,700 million in the December 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of sheep and lambs increased 11.3% to $1,200 million following a 3.0% decrease in the September 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of pigs increased 9.8% to $291 million in the December 2018 quarter.
  • The gross value of poultry decreased 0.8% to $697 million, following a 6.1% increase in the September 2018 quarter.
