KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for December 2016:
  • The gross value of sheep and lambs increased 18% to $907 million for the December 2016 quarter, following a 5% decrease in the September 2016 quarter.
  • Conversely, after a small increase last quarter the gross value of pigs slaughtered decreased 3% in the December 2016 quarter, down to $360 million.
  • After a 5% decrease in gross value last quarter poultry increased 1% in the December 2016 quarter to $680 million.
