AG MAG HAS GONE SOUTH!

Publishing and editorial responsibility for the production of Ag Mag has changed hands. The home of Ag Mag, until recently, has been set amidst the frenetically charged atmosphere of the nation's capital, but Ag Mag has now packed up its goods and chattels and moved south to the more clement pastures of Tasmania.

Commencing with this December 2010 edition, the publication of the newsletter will be undertaken by the Output Services section of the Agriculture and Environment Business Statistics Centre in Hobart. Ag Mag will become a special part of our suite of agricultural publications which are released regularly throughout the year.

We understand that the subject matter of agricultural statistics might sometimes be seen to be a bit dry, a little dull and possibly even (shock, horror) boring .... but we in Tassie will be doing our best to try and breathe a bit of life into the statistics and in the process, maybe even make them interesting and enjoyable. It will be a gradual process .... there won't be any 'flash bang wallop' with major changes in the appearance or style of our first issue, but we are hopeful that the input we have will be a refreshing change, whilst all the time recognising that there is still a requirement for you to get positive, accurate and current agricultural information.

Any feedback you might like to provide will be most welcome, as will any questions about the content or suggestions as to what might be included in future issues. Feel free to give David Radford a call on (03) 62225821 or send an email to david.radford@abs.gov.au. Any other questions or comments you might have relating to our wide range of statistical products can be sent to agriculture.statistics@abs.gov.au.
