17/08/2011 Seasonal Adjustment of Consumer Price Indexes (cat. no. 6401.0.55.003) release has been postponed to 14 September 2011.

05/08/2011 Following the release of the CPI on 27 July 2011, an error was found in the commentary. Please note that banana prices increased 377% not 470% in the six months to June quarter 2011. This error only impacted the commentary - the underlying data contributing to the calculation of the CPI and all the data shown in tables, graphs and time series spreadsheets for the June quarter are correct.
