REVISIONS
Since the previous issue of this publication, revisions have been made to align with the data published in the December quarter 2016 issue of Balance of Payments and International Investment Position, Australia (cat. no. 5302.0), released on 28 February 2017 and Australian National Accounts: National Income, Expenditure and Product (cat. no. 5206.0), released on 1 March 2017. On an international merchandise trade basis, goods exports and imports have been revised back to July 2016.
The following goods and services debits components have been revised since the release of the December 2016 issue of International Trade in Goods and Services, Australia (cat. no. 5368.0):
- capital goods n.e.s. component of goods debits, revised back to October 2016
- other services component of services debits, revised back to October 2016.
In original terms the revisions have increased the deficit on goods and services for the six months to December 2016 by $613m.
