INTERSECTORAL FINANCIAL FLOWS

During March Quarter 2007

Significant flows during the March quarter 2007 were the borrowings by non-financial corporations from financial corporations, net $24.4b, by financial corporations from rest of world, net $20.9b, and financial corporations from general government, net $7.2b. Households had net claims of $3.4b on non-financial corporations.

INTERSECTORAL FINANCIAL CLAIMS

At end of March Quarter 2007

At the end of March 2007, net claims on non-financial corporations stood at $767.6b from financial corporations, $358.6b from rest of world, $194.6b from households and $102.2b from general government. Financial Corporations financed claims on the non-financial sector primarily from net claims of $731.0b by households and $280.2b by rest of world.
