• Total seasonally adjusted GOS increased 8.4% for the December quarter. Seasonally adjusted Total corporations GOS increased 12.0%. Private non-financial corporations was the main contributor to the increase in GOS, recording an increase of 16.5%, followed by Financial corporations increasing by 1.8%.

• Seasonally adjusted COE fell 0.5%, reflecting a decrease of 0.9% in average earnings per employee.
• The fall in seasonally adjusted COE was mainly driven by Financial and insurance services, Construction, Wholesale trade, and Administrative and support services.
• Private sector COE fell 0.5%.
• Public sector COE fell 0.4%.

• Of the states, Tasmania recorded the highest rise in COE at 1.3%, while Western Australia recorded the largest fall at 2.5%.
• On a through the year basis Victoria recorded the highest rise of 5.3%, while Western Australia recorded the largest fall at 4.3%.
