INFORMATION PAPER: OUTCOMES OF THE LABOUR HOUSEHOLD SURVEYS CONTENT REVIEW
In late 2010, the ABS commenced a review of its labour household survey program. Aimed at improving relevance, maximising coherence and minimising duplication, the scope of the review included the Labour Force Survey (LFS), labour supplementary surveys and labour Multipurpose Household Survey (MPHS) topics.
A number of changes are planned for the core monthly and quarterly LFS, the labour supplementary surveys, and the labour MPHS topics. The proposed changes are discussed in Information Paper: Outcomes of the Labour Household Surveys Content Review (cat. no. 6107.0) which is due for release on 12 July 2012. The information paper outlines the intended changes and provides indicative timing for their implementation.
