Health and welfare of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples report to be launched on August 29

Australian of the Year and distinguished medical researcher Professor Fiona Stanley AC will launch The Health and Welfare of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples (cat. no. 4704.0) on Friday 29 August at the Mossenson Gallery of Authentic Aboriginal Art in Perth.

This Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) publication provides a comprehensive overview, largely at the national level, of the health and welfare of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The publication includes information on mortality, ill health, risk factors, access to and use of services and recent developments in health and welfare information. Selected historical data is included.
