CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE

The ABS has made a number of changes in this issue. These are described below and reflect ongoing ABS research into the measurement of employment in renewable energy activities, supported by valuable feedback received from industry experts and government sources. The ABS is grateful for the user feedback received to date and will continue to actively seek stakeholder input.

Changes to Bagasse Energy Production

In this release bagasse energy supply information from the Energy Account, Australia, 2015-16 has been used.

Percentage of Accredited Installers Not Published

The methodology to produce estimates for the number of Clean Energy Council accredited installers as a percentage of ABS FTE roof-top solar PV employment (previously released in Table 13 of the datacube) is under review and has not been published in 2016-17.

Employment by Energy Type

Data on FTE employment by renewable energy type has not been replicated in Table 12 of the data cube. These estimates can still be found in Table 2 of the data cube.
