BEER
In 2015-16 there were 75.4 million litres of pure alcohol available for consumption in Australia in the form of beer, an increase of 4.5% from 2014-15 (72.1 million litres).
Full strength beer made up 81.3% of all pure alcohol in beer available for consumption in 2015-16, followed by mid strength beer (16.2%) and low strength beer (2.5%).

The volume of beer available for consumption increased 4.9% between 2014-15 and 2015-16, from 1,660.5 million litres to 1,742.4 million litres.
The volume of mid strength beer increased 9.6% while full strength beer increased 4.5%. Low strength beer recorded a decrease (down 6.9%).
