Capital expenditure

The estimate of capital expenditure in 2011-12 funded by the Australian Government was $165.7m. This accounted for 7% of all cultural expenditure, however, it represented a fall from 8% in 2010-11. The majority (61%) of Australian Government funded capital expenditure was for Arts activities. This represented an increase from 52% in the previous year.

The category with the highest capital expenditure in 2011-12 was Radio and television services ($99.4m).
