A Snapshot of Act and Regions: Welfare, Health and Transport

ABS figures show Forrest as the ACT's most affluent suburb in 2001, whilst Symonston, Oaks Estate and Charnwood were the least affluent.

The Canberra suburb of Kambah (ACT's largest suburb by population) had the highest number of private passenger motor vehicles on register at 30 June 2003.

These figures for the ACT, its suburbs and the remainder of the Australian Capital Region (ACR), are available from the latest issue of the ABS publication ACT and Region...A Statistical Atlas.

The publication uses maps to present welfare, health and transport information about the ACT and the surrounding ACR which takes in the major regional centres of: Yass, Goulburn, Cooma, NSW South Coast, Queanbeyan, Tumut, Bega and Young.
