NSW State and Regional Indicators has been developed and informed through the use of frameworks. Frameworks are a tool that provide coherence in statistical measurement, data analysis and analytical commentary. Frameworks are used by the ABS in general to determine areas of interest, and specifically at the chapter development stage, to ensure key aspects of any area of interest are comprehensively covered. Frameworks help determine which available data sources are the most effective in describing key aspects of the topic and to ensure the end product is relevant to users.
