Viewing Metadata

Metadata can be viewed at all levels, from the dataset-level abstract down through to cell level footnotes. The presence of metadata is flagged by a small blue i Graphic: The metadata button, a small blue circle with a white i. Clicking on the i will bring up the related metadata window in the right-hand area of the screen.

Clicking the 'new tab' button Graphic: The button to open metadata in a new tab, a small browser window icon will open the metadata window in a new browser tab.

Other Related Metadata

If there are other metadata available in the datasets, which are closely related to the metadata displayed on screen, a set of links to these other metadata will appear in the metadata window, below the metadata text. In the example shown above, under 'Direct Source' there is a link to the ABS publication for Labour Force which has further metadata available.
