CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK FOR FAMILY AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE STATISTICS

This directory is structured around the elements set out in the Conceptual Framework for Family and Domestic Violence Statistics, 2009 (cat. no. 4529.0) and provides a cross-sectoral view of the information needs for the field of FDV. By using the Framework to view data sources, readers can focus their search for data sources on particular elements of FDV of interest.

Data from any single data source can inform one or more elements within the FDV Framework. No single data source can comprehensively cover every FDV Framework element and readers should consider information from a number of sources to build a picture of FDV in Australia. Viewing data sources through the FDV Framework also enables readers to identify and address data gaps in this field. An overview of the FDV Framework is provided in this publication.
