SEX AND AGE

There was no statistical difference in the victimisation rate for identity theft between males and females for incidents occurring in the last five years (0.4% compared to 0.5%).

Just under two-thirds (65.5%) of identity theft victims reported the incident to an authority, such as the police, a business, or other authority, however female victims were more likely to do so than male victims (78.8% compared to 48.2%).
