        Private Health Establishments
      Description
        Provides a measure of the contribution made by private hospital establishments to the total services provided by hospitals in Australia. Private hospitals are classified into two categories: private acute and psychiatric hospitals; and free-standing day hospital facilities. The bulk of the data are collected directly from individual hospitals but a large component (hospital morbidity data) is provided to ABS by State health authorities on behalf of individual hospitals.
