The Australian Standard Geographical Classification (ASGC) is a hierarchical classification system of geographical areas and consists of a number of interrelated structures. It provides a common framework of statistical geography and enables the production of statistics which are comparable.

The ASGC 2007 has a date of effect of 1 July 2007.

The product 1216.0.15.001 ASGC 2007 Electronic Structures contains four Excel files showing the levels and hierarchy of those ASGC structures current for the edition: the Main Structure, the Statistical Region Structure, the Statistical District Structure and, the Local Government Area Structure.
