Between April and June 2000, some 55.0% of Tasmanian employed persons were employees who had leave entitlements (Australia, 58.3%). Some 22.9% of Tasmanian employed persons identified themselves as being casually employed (Australia, 18.3%), and a further 2.5% who did not identify as casuals said that they had no leave entitlements (Australia 1.8%). Some 19.6% of Tasmanian employed persons worked in their own business (including owner managers of both incorporated or unincorporated enterprises) (Australia 21.6%).
