REISSUE: The 2006 Collection District to 2006 Statistical Local Area Concordance file (CD2006_SLA2006.csv) has been updated to correct two errors in the file.



DESCRIPTION

The Australian Standard Geographical Classification (ASGC) is a hierarchical classification system of geographical areas and consists of a number of interrelated structures. It provides a common framework of statistical geography and enables the production of statistics which are comparable.

The ASGC 2006 has a date of effect of 1 July 2006.

The product 1216.0.15.002 ASGC 2006 Concordances contains six separate concordance files. These files are a comma delimited and include a metadata sheet showing the file format.

    2001 CD to 2006 SLA Concordance
    This file assists in the conversion of ASGC Edition 2001 Collection Districts (CDs) to ASGC Edition 2006 Statistical Local Areas (SLAs). This concordance does not include Water CDs and those in Off Shore, Shipping or Migratory categories.

    2006 CD to 2006 SLA Concordance
    This file assists in the conversion of ASGC Edition 2006 Collection Districts (CDs) to ASGC Edition 2006 Statistical Local Areas (SLAs). This concordance includes Water CDs and those in Off Shore, Shipping or Migratory categories.

    2001 SLA to 2006 SLA Concordance
    This file assists in the conversion of 2001 SLAs to 2006 SLAs.

    2005 SLA to 2006 SLA Concordance
    This file assists in the conversion of 2005 SLAs to 2006 SLAs.

    2006 LGA to 2006 SLA Concordance
    This file identifies which LGAs comprise of which SLAs for 2006.

    2006 ASGC Structures Concordance
    This file shows the relationship of the Statistical Local Area (SLA) within the 2006 ASGC Structures: the Local Government Area Structure, the Main Structure, the Statistical District Structure and the Statistical Region Structure.
