HOSPITAL CHARACTERISTICS


In 2012-13, 45.7% (127) of all Acute and psychiatric hospitals had a dedicated day surgery unit. Acute and psychiatric hospitals in New South Wales were the least likely to have a labour ward (17.6%), while two thirds of the hospitals in the smallest states and territories category had labour wards.
