SUMMARY COMMENTS

  • In the June quarter 2008, the seasonally adjusted estimate of the value of total building work done rose in states and territories other than New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. The largest increases were in South Australia (+6.8%) and Victoria (+3.8%).
  • The original estimate of total building work done rose in all states and territories. The largest rises were in Victoria (+17.8%), the Australian Capital Territory (+16.4%) and South Australia (+15.5%).
